In order for the uptake of electrolytes, the salts need a small amount of sugar.
Our blends utilise the naturally occurring sugar in coconut water to optimise this process. Coconut water contains the ideal ratio of glucose:fructose for rapid replenishment without any sugar spikes making it perfect for daily sipping as well as intense activity.
Sugar free alternatives don't activate this process, however too much sugar can actually slow it down which is why our blends contain the precise amount of 3.5g for optimum replenishment.

Actually no.. for many years we have been lead to believe this but the study that this was based off wasn't actually proven.
Instead in the last few years more and more scientists have begun to study this topic and extensive research studies have begun to show that actually salt is crucial for our body to stay feeling our best and the government regulations of daily recommend amount is far too low.
